Jaffe Holden Acoustics, Inc.
Jaffe Holden Acoustics, Inc. specializes in architectural
acoustic design and electro-acoustic design. JHA works
closely with engineers, contractors, architects and
other members of the design team to insure acoustically
excellent solutions for its projects. The Norwalk, Connecticut,
acoustics firm has been involved in the Schuster Center
project prior to the blueprints being drawn up.
JHA defines architectural acoustics as the art of developing
the ideal acoustic environment for any space. Electro-acoustic
design involves developing performance audio systems
to handle the diverse programming of multiple-use venues.
Founding Principal Dr. Christopher Jaffe is an internationally
recognized leader and innovator in the field of architectural
acoustics, with the design of more than 250 performance
halls to his credit during the past four decades. He
is the Director of a Masters program in Sonics
at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, New York.
President and CEO Mark Holdens career in the acoustics
field spans more than 20 years, during which time he
has worked with clients ranging from small theatre companies
to world-class orchestras and opera companies.
The Schuster Center is the first project the firm has
done in conjunction with architect Cesar Pelli.
