Cline Bettridge Bernstein Lighting Design is dedicated to enhancing the grace, utility and comfort of architectural spaces through the thoughtful use of light. Since establishing the firm with the late Carrol Cline in 1985, Francesca Bettridge and Stephen Bernstein have played active roles in every project, providing an exceptional level of personal service.

Under their direction, the twenty-three person New York firm has completed a broad range of award-winning work with the nation's leading architectural firms. Experience includes large corporate, governmental and institutional projects, residences, entertainment, hospitality and retail centers, community parks, schools and libraries.

As an integral part of the team, CBB designers facilitate communication with architects and clients through the use of mock-ups, hand renderings and three-dimensional computerized visualizations. The designers use software programs that provide extensive capability for detailed representation of spaces and lighting effects, photometric calculations of artificial and natural light levels and analysis of energy management. These programs include AutoCAD, 3D StudioViz, Lightscape, Lumen-Micro and AGI.
